FAQs

How long have you been operating for?
We have over 20 years in New Zealand tourism experience and have been working with the cruise ships and overseas clients for 7 years now. We love what we do and enjoy meeting people from overseas.

Do you guarantee to have us back in time for the ship’s departure?
Yes we do. We work with the Information Centre, Port Operations Co-ordinator, and the times supplied by the Cruise Ships. We guarantee to have you back well before the departure time. We are never late, are always back in time even with time to spare.

Are all your trips guided with experienced drivers and tour guides?
Yes our drivers are qualified and experienced, have a very good understanding of the New Zealand’s history, Rotorua’s highlights, and what’s happening in the local economy. You will find your day very informative.

If you have any questions while sight-seeing with us, then please ask; we are friendly and if we can’t answer immediately we will find out the correct answer to your question by the time you get back on your ship. Most questions can be answered immediately as our drivers / tour guides are very well informed.

How often do we stop?
We have a lot to show and there is a lot to see, so we keep things moving to ensure you get the best value for your day. We do try to stop every 20 mins or so for comfort stops, stretch the legs, see the sights, and or to take photos. If you see something you would like to take a photo of, and we have the time, then it is not a problem we are more than happy to stop on request.

Can you customise our day for us?
Yes we can. We believe we have already have a very exciting day planned out for you, but having said that if you specifically would like to do something special, have something in mind, then please email us and we are more than happy to tailor our tour to meet your needs – for groups of 6 customers or more. You will enjoy our pre-set day, otherwise we are here to help.

Will we be comfortable?
Yes one of our main focuses is your comfort. We really strive to provide a relaxed and friendly environment where you can just sit back and enjoy your day. Our modern coaches offer plenty of room, are air-conditioned, and have in-coach intercoms making for a pleasant and informative journey. We choose to operate small group tours of up to 10 to 20 people, to make sure you get the best out of your day, instead of travelling with big numbers. It is also a great way to meet new friends from the ship.

What do we get to see?
We will show you around the beaches of Mount Maunganui, Tauranga city, you will see Kiwifruit up close and have the opportunity to taste both the actual kiwifruit and Manuka Honey, see the stunning Rotorua Lakes, the hotpools, active geysers, boiling mud, see a live Maori culture performance, travel through Rotorua city with full commentary, and on the way back, the extra bonus of a return trip through some of New Zealand’s farmland and back-country roads.

There is a group of 2 or 4 of us, do we share our tour with others?
Yes, our coaches are able to take either 12 clients per van or up to 19 passengers (we have a couple different size vans). This helps keep your costs down. We have more than one coach operating, so we are also able to take larger groups as and when required. For smaller groups, we will leave as soon as the first bus is full. Our Rotorua Tour is such a great day.
If you would like a private tour then please let us know.

Do you have knowledge of New Zealand – places to see & things to do?
Yes – we operate New Zealand tours throughout the year – and know New Zealand very well. All our drivers are qualified, educated with interesting facts about New Zealand and are experienced.

Is there time for lunch?
Yes – stopping at the Rotorua Lakefront or Rotorua Government Gardens.

What do you do outside of the cruise ship season?
We take small group tours all around New Zealand from Cape Reinga at the top of the North Island to Stewart Island at the bottom of the South Island.

We also provide and guide yearly trips to Australia.

Why do you choose to live in Tauranga?
Because it is very centrally located, close to Rotorua City, it’s a fast growing city, has great beaches, and has a wonderful climate.
